WHAT’S ITS HISTORY?
This mirror is a great example of Venetian mirror styling, thanks to its constant mirror front, it is what some call ‘frameless’.
The Venetian era of mirrors was primarily based upon this idea of making mirrors where the mirror glass would extend all the way to the edge of the entire object. This style lives to this day because of its beauty.
It creates a very ‘pure’ sense about the mirror, a very clean and refined idea that has been embodied into this theme of mirrors, even to this day as it continues to be admired.
WHAT’S IT GOOD FOR & WHAT DOES IT GO WITH?
What this mirror lacks in frame, it makes up for in sheer elegance due to the absence of a frame, which in its place, is beautifully refined, simple mirror glass.
This is a mirror for the purist, looking for subtle design. Thanks to its simplicity, it can work well within most minimally styled spaces.
For example you would not want to place this mirror within a room full of flamboyant ornate décor.
It would however do well within most modern living spaces, free from clutter, ready for the mirror to produce a feeling of calmness to the mind.
In a sense this mirror does have a two-part frame, being made of mirror glass and encompassing the edge of the main mirror glass panel. A simplistic touch that works its refined magic to the beholden.
This mirror is ideal in the bathroom space, thanks to the front being comprised entirely of mirror glass making it easily wipable and cleanable.
Not just limited to the bathroom however, the Holsworthy can work well anywhere throughout the home providing the surrounding styling is there to suit.
WHAT’S IT MADE OF?
The Holsworthy is available in 6 different sizes. Most of the sizes are ideal for use as wall mirrors, however there is the largest of the sizes that can work impeccably well as a full length floor leaner.
This mirror has no specific colour, other than the naturally silver sheen of mirror glass and as such is defined as ‘frameless’.
The mirror glass is mounted onto a high-resin plywood board, which is then coated which soft black polymer felt, utilised as a means to protect the mirror and anything touching it.
