Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This round gold metal mirror is one of the largest window-style pieces in our range, spanning nearly two metres in both directions. A recent addition to our Tavistarc Collection, it was chosen for its bold scale and clean, modern grid design — qualities that let it hold its own against expansive exterior walls and generous interior spaces alike.
Design & Materials
Nine separate mirror panels sit within a sturdy steel frame finished in a warm, satin-gold tone. The finish has a soft, lightly textured sheen — not high-gloss and not fully matte — that catches sunlight beautifully without harsh glare. Slim bars divide the glass into a three-by-three grid, echoing the classic Crittall window look in a striking circular silhouette. Each panel uses clear, unbevelled glass backed by a plastic sheet board for weather resistance, making this large round gold wall mirror genuinely suitable for year-round outdoor display. The frame profile is slender at roughly 2.5 cm wide, keeping the emphasis on the reflective surface and the elegant gold grid lines rather than on heavy framing. Up close, the metalwork is cleanly welded and evenly coated — a reassuringly solid piece despite its substantial footprint.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm high and 190 cm wide, this is an extra large round mirror that needs — and deserves — a generous wall. In the garden, we often suggest positioning it on a rendered boundary wall or a sturdy fence panel where it can bounce greenery and sky back into the space, creating the illusion of depth and light. It works especially well anchoring a seating area or reflecting a planting border. Indoors, consider a large hallway, open-plan living area, or commercial reception — anywhere the scale can breathe. Because the base is flat, it can also lean securely against a wall at floor level if you prefer a relaxed, contemporary look. At 3 cm deep and 30 kg, it sits close to the wall yet carries real visual weight, so make sure your chosen wall can support the load comfortably. Customers tend to pair this with industrial-style furniture or modern metal planters, but the warm gold tone also complements natural wood and neutral stone finishes.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings on the back allow you to hook the mirror onto two screws — a straightforward approach for a piece of this size. Do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type: heavy-duty masonry bolts for brick or block, or specialist plasterboard fixings if hanging indoors on a stud wall. Given the 30 kg weight and nearly two-metre span, this is firmly a two-person job for lifting and positioning. We recommend having a helper hold the mirror in place while you mark your drill points, ensuring the keyhole slots align accurately before final hanging.
