WHAT’S ITS HISTORY?
The idea of using a double edged frame within a mirror design is a somewhat new concept. However the Salisbury mirror pulls it off very well.
This type of mirror is what we have named ‘frameless’ whereby there is no frame made out of any other material apart from mirror glass.
This idea of framelessness goes hand in hand with the ‘Venetian’ mirror style, where again the majority of the mirror front is made of just mirror glass with perhaps some decorative trim.
A modern take on the frameless Venetian style, the Salisbury is here to impress with its pure and simple double edged ‘frame’ design.
WHAT’S IT GOOD FOR & WHAT DOES IT GO WITH?
Thanks to its easy-to-clean front facing glass, whilst also coming in 4 different small to medium sizes, the Salisbury mirror ideal for use within the bathroom.
That said, it can work in most spaces thanks to its simplicity. Of course it may clash with more highly detailed spaces within the home, but in general it can work well as an easy-to-please, simple, around the house wall mirror.
Due to its small to medium sizes, we would recommend that it be hung from a wall.
WHAT’S IT MADE OF?
The double edged frame elements come with very small bevel to take the edge off of their smaller glass pieces. The centre main mirror pane does not come with a bevel.
All of the mirror glass front facing elements are mounted onto a high-resin plywood board, chosen for its strength.
This board is then applied with soft black felt, which acts to keep the wall that the mirror is hung on safe and scratch free.
