Clean lines, bold scale
If you’re looking for big wall mirrors that make an immediate impact without relying on a heavy frame, this 174×85cm design delivers. Part of our Lynmouth Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our contemporary-living customers, it pairs generous proportions with a geometric, layered border that catches the light from every angle.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed entirely from bevelled mirror panels separated by fine black detailing lines — three vertical strips run down each side, with horizontal bars at the top and bottom corners creating a stepped, architectural effect. In our experience, this kind of linear pattern sits naturally alongside art deco, geometric, and modern interiors alike. Each panel is individually bevelled, so the frame appears to shift and shimmer as you move past it. Behind the glass, a solid hardwood backing and black felt layer add rigidity and a clean finish against the wall. The overall look is frameless and silver-toned; there is no painted timber visible from the front, making it exceptionally easy to coordinate with existing décor — from warm neutrals and brass accents to cooler grey palettes and chrome hardware.
Size & Placement
At 174 cm tall and 85 cm wide, this large mirror on wall sits firmly in full-length territory — tall enough for a head-to-toe reflection, yet narrow enough to slot beside a console table, wardrobe, or bookcase without dominating the wall. Hung portrait in a hallway or bedroom, it functions as a full-length dressing mirror; turned landscape above a mantelpiece or sideboard, it becomes a long wall mirror that stretches the perceived width of the room. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a solid wall at a slight angle — a style we see chosen most often for modern living spaces and boutique dressing rooms. At 20 kg, the mirror has a reassuring solidity that speaks to the hardwood frame beneath, while remaining manageable for two people to position.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back — positioned so you can hang this mirror in either portrait or landscape orientation. Simply line up your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly. Do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings suited to your wall type — heavy-duty plasterboard anchors for stud walls, or expansion bolts for solid masonry. Given its 20 kg weight, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
