This narrow herringbone mirror pairs clean geometric lines with layered bevelled glass to create a piece that feels both modern and quietly architectural. Drawn from our Lingport Collection range, a line we return to often when customers ask for frameless designs with genuine visual interest.
Design & Materials
Rather than a conventional frame, this mirror is bordered by stepped bevelled mirror panels arranged in a herringbone-influenced pattern. Two concentric rectangular tiers of glass sit proud of the central pane, each edge precision-bevelled to catch and refract light. The result is a layered, three-dimensional border that shifts in tone as your viewing angle changes — silver highlights at one step, subtle shadow lines at the next. The backing is constructed from hardwood with a black felt protective layer, adding rigidity and helping the mirror sit cleanly against the wall. Every surface is glass, so the overall look is entirely frameless — an all-mirror finish that pairs effortlessly with both modern and art deco interiors.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and just 40 cm wide, this is a deliberately slender piece. In our experience, narrow rectangular mirrors like this one are the natural choice for spaces where a full-width mirror would overwhelm — think hallway walls between doorways, the slim section of wall beside a wardrobe, or above a bedside bench exactly as shown in the lifestyle image. Its tall, portrait proportions also lend themselves well to living rooms flanking a fireplace in a symmetrical pair. Hung landscape, the same bevelled panel design reads more like decorative wall art, working well above a console table or headboard. With a flat bottom edge, you could also lean it against a wall for a relaxed, contemporary look in a bedroom or dressing area.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are fitted to the hardwood back, positioned so you can hang this mirror in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line your wall screws up with the centre of each D-loop and hang directly — do not use wire, string, or chain. At 15 kg, this is a solid piece; we recommend a two-person lift to position it safely, and you should use fixings appropriate to your wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard, or stud). Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
