This large wall mirror modern in style brings clean, architectural lines and light-catching bevelled glass to any room. Part of our Lingport Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed entirely from mirrored glass — a true frameless design where layered bevelled panels create a stepped, geometric border. Look closely and you’ll see three distinct bevelled strips running around the perimeter, each angled to catch and refract light differently. The panels are separated by fine black pinstripe detailing that gives the frame its crisp, modern definition. Behind the glass sits a hardwood backing board with a black felt layer, adding rigidity and protecting your wall surface.
Every glass element carries a polished bevel edge, so the overall effect is one of depth and sparkle without any colour or texture competing for attention. This makes it a large modern decorative wall mirror that complements virtually any palette — it sits just as comfortably alongside art deco interiors as it does in a pared-back contemporary scheme.
Size & Placement
At 144 cm tall and 115.5 cm wide, this is a generously sized rectangular mirror that makes a genuine impact on a wall. Hung in portrait, it works beautifully above a console table or sideboard in a hallway, giving the space both a functional check-point and the illusion of extra depth. In landscape, it’s perfectly proportioned as an overmantle piece — at just under 120 cm wide, it sits comfortably above a standard UK fireplace surround without overwhelming it.
The all-mirror finish means there’s no frame colour to clash with existing décor, so we often suggest this for rooms where you want large wall art that doubles as a light-amplifier — a dining room with a single window, for instance, or a living room that needs to feel more open. With a flat bottom edge, you also have the option of leaning it against a wall for a relaxed, gallery-style look.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Simply align your wall screws with the D-loop centres and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate to your wall type (plasterboard anchors for stud walls, masonry plugs for brick or block).
At 15 kg, this is a two-person lift and hang. We recommend having someone hold the mirror in position while you mark drilling points — it’s far easier to get level placement that way than working alone with a tape measure.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
