Where metal craft meets mirrored light
This garden mirror wall art pairs the ornamental appeal of wrought-style scrollwork with a generous mirrored backdrop, creating a piece that works as both a functional mirror and decorative wall art. A recent addition to our Rollstone Collection range, it was chosen for its versatile indoor-outdoor design and the warmth of its cream finish.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel, finished in a soft cream tone with subtle distressed detailing that gives the metal a lightly weathered, lived-in quality — a look that sits comfortably alongside shabby chic or vintage interiors. The outer silhouette follows a quatrefoil shape: four rounded lobes linked by pointed corner sections, forming an irregular outline that feels both geometric and organic at once.
Across the mirrored glass, an elaborate scrollwork overlay radiates from a central rosette. Flowing S-curves, heart-shaped volutes, and elongated petal forms are all hand-shaped from steel rod, lending a tactile, three-dimensional quality you would expect from ornate metal garden art. The mirror glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, allowing the scrollwork to take centre stage while still reflecting light and greenery effectively. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear.
Size & Placement
At 90 cm high and 90 cm wide, with a slim 2.5 cm depth, this is a comfortably sized statement piece without being overwhelming. In the garden it catches the eye mounted on a rendered wall, timber fence, or above an outdoor seating area — we often suggest positioning it where it can reflect foliage or sky to make a compact courtyard feel more open. Indoors, it works beautifully above a bed, over a console table in a hallway, or as a focal point in a living room. Its cream colouring pairs naturally with neutral palettes, whitewashed furniture, and soft grey tones, while the metal scrollwork adds texture to modern minimalist schemes that need a little warmth.
Because this mirror is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, it offers genuine flexibility — you might enjoy it on a sheltered patio during summer and move it into a dining room for winter.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes with two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you can simply hook it onto a pair of wall screws. At 7 kg, it is manageable for one person to lift, though having a helper steady it while you mark your drill points will make installation quicker and more accurate. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings suited to your wall type (standard rawl plugs for masonry, heavy-duty plasterboard anchors for stud walls). Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror — the keyhole slots are designed for a direct, secure hook onto screw heads.
