Built for the garden, equally loved indoors
This large rustic garden mirror draws its shape from traditional church windows, with a tall pointed arch and ornamental metalwork that lend real architectural character to any setting. Customers tell us this mirror looks beautiful once in place — a piece that earns compliments from the moment it goes up.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel, finished in a warm cream tone with a lightly weathered, rustic texture that gives it an aged, time-softened appearance. Vertical bars divide the glass into tall lancet-style panes, while a pair of quatrefoil motifs near the crown add a classic gothic touch. The metalwork has a slightly matte, distressed quality rather than a polished sheen — a finish we often suggest for customers who want something that blends with natural stone, brick, or timber rather than competing with it. Clear mirror glass sits behind each pane section, and a plastic sheet backing board protects the rear. At 2.5 cm wide, the frame stays slender enough to let the reflective surface dominate without appearing flimsy.
Size & Placement
At 140 cm tall and 75 cm wide, this is a generous large window arch mirror that creates real visual impact without overwhelming a wall. In the garden, it works particularly well mounted on a boundary wall or fence where it can reflect greenery and sky, creating an illusion of depth and openness — a style we see chosen most often for courtyard gardens and patio areas where space feels enclosed. It also suits conservatories, hallways, and dining rooms where its gothic window silhouette becomes a striking focal point. Because it has a flat bottom, you can lean this large rustic window mirror against a wall at floor level as an alternative to wall-mounting — a useful option for renters or anyone who prefers not to drill. Its 3.5 cm depth keeps it sitting close to the surface. As an indoor-outdoor piece, the metal construction handles the elements, though we recommend a sheltered or semi-sheltered position to keep the finish looking its best over the years.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you can simply hook it onto screws driven into your wall. At 14 kg, it is a substantial piece; we recommend a two-person lift when positioning and hanging. Use fixings appropriate to your wall type: heavy-duty rawl plugs and screws for masonry, or suitable plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. If you are mounting it outdoors, stainless-steel or weather-resistant screws will help prevent rust marks around the fixing points.
