This decorative wall mirror black brings a confident, architectural edge to any room. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a contemporary black glass finish that lifts a space without relying on a conventional frame.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed entirely from glass — a wide outer border of deep, glossy black glass sits alongside narrower strips of clear bevelled mirror, creating a layered, stepped profile that catches and plays with light. Each bevelled strip adds a subtle shimmer of reflected silver against the rich black surround, giving the piece a refined art-deco feel. The central mirror panel is also bevelled at the edges, adding extra depth and a clean line where glass meets glass. Behind the layers, a hardwood backing and black felt finish provide a solid, well-constructed feel. In our experience, this all-glass construction photographs beautifully but looks even better in person — the tonal contrast between polished black and silver shifts depending on the light in your room.
Size & Placement
At 90 cm tall and 60 cm wide, this rectangular frameless wall mirror is a versatile medium-sized piece. It sits comfortably above a console table or sideboard in a hallway, or works as a decorative rectangular wall mirror in a living room — large enough to make an impression, but not so large it overwhelms a standard wall. The portrait orientation is a natural fit above furniture, while the landscape option opens up possibilities above a sofa or bed. With a flat bottom edge, you can also lean it on a mantelpiece or shelf for a more relaxed, layered look. We often suggest this for dining rooms, where the black glass border complements dark furniture, metallic light fittings, or monochrome colour schemes.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror comes fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops, then hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 12 kg, it has a noticeable weight, so we recommend two people for lifting and positioning. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate for your wall type, whether solid masonry or plasterboard with suitable anchors.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
