This small black mirror for wall mounting pairs a glossy black glass border with a bevelled central mirror to create a clean, contemporary look. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for understated modern impact.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from four wide panels of polished black glass, each with a bevelled edge that catches the light and adds depth. A slim silver mirror strip separates the dark border from the central reflective glass, sharpening the contrast and giving the piece a layered, almost architectural feel. Behind the glass sits a solid hardwood backing finished with a black felt layer, which protects your wall surface and adds rigidity to the whole construction. In our experience, this type of all-glass build reads as far more expensive than mirrors with printed or painted frames — the reflective black surface has a genuine sense of weight and luxury.
Size & Placement
At 68 cm tall and 56 cm wide, this small rectangular wall mirror is generous enough to be useful — checking your reflection in a hallway, shaving or applying make-up in a bathroom — without overwhelming a compact wall. It sits comfortably above a console table, beside a front door, or over a basin. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it on a shelf or mantelpiece if you prefer a less permanent arrangement. Because it hangs in both portrait and landscape, it adapts to narrow alcoves just as easily as wider stretches of wall. The black glass border works particularly well against pale or neutral walls, where the contrast draws the eye, though it also complements darker schemes by adding reflective lightness. Customers tend to pair this with chrome or silver-toned accessories for a cohesive modern finish.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives with four D-loops pre-fitted to the back — two at the top and one at the bottom on each side — positioned so you can hang it in either orientation. Simply drive your wall screws into the appropriate positions and hook the D-loops directly over them. Do not use string, wire, or chain; the mirror is designed to sit flush against the wall on its fixings. At 8 kg it is manageable for one person, though having a second pair of hands to hold it level while you mark drill points makes the job quicker. Use rawl plugs suited to your wall type — standard plastic plugs for masonry, or specialist plasterboard fixings for stud walls. Wall screws and plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
