Built for the Garden, Loved Indoors Too
This gold full length wall mirror pairs a generous 174 × 85 cm profile with a softly arched windowpane design, creating the look of a reclaimed conservatory window wherever you place it. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a dual-purpose piece that works both inside the house and out in the garden.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel finished in a warm, matte gold tone that sits comfortably between antique brass and burnished ochre. Slim bars — roughly 2.5 cm wide — divide the mirror face into a grid of eighteen individual panes beneath a gently curved arch top, giving it the character of an old orangery window. The gold finish is smooth and even, with a subtle satin quality rather than a high-shine polish, so it avoids looking overly formal. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, adding rigidity and making it suitable for outdoor use where a traditional MDF back might warp in damp conditions. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, keeping the emphasis on that architectural grid pattern.
Size & Placement
At 174 cm tall and 85 cm wide, this is a large full length gold mirror that delivers real visual impact without requiring a vast expanse of wall. Hung in portrait orientation above a bed, it makes a striking alternative to a headboard — the arched top softens the look beautifully against a flat wall. In a hallway or living room, position it behind a console table to double the sense of space. Because it is rated for outdoor use, we often suggest this for garden walls and courtyards: mounted on aged brick or rendered stone, the gold metalwork catches the light and the panes reflect shifting clouds and planting throughout the day. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it securely against a wall if you prefer a more relaxed, unfixed arrangement indoors. At 20 kg it has a solid, reassuring weight that keeps it stable when leaned.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so installation is straightforward — simply drive two screws into the wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror over them. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this piece. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings appropriate for your wall type. For solid brick or block walls, standard rawl plugs and screws will do the job. For plasterboard or stud walls, use heavy-duty plasterboard fixings rated to at least 20 kg per point. Given the size and weight, we recommend having a second person steady the mirror while you align the keyholes over the screws.
