Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This grey arch window mirror brings a classic architectural silhouette to any setting, indoors or out. Part of our Honiton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and patio customers. With its multi-pane grid and graceful arched top, it captures the look of a traditional window — reflecting light and greenery to make even a compact courtyard feel more open.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a distressed grey finish that shows deliberate patches of wear and subtle oxidation. It is not a flat, uniform grey — up close you will notice cream and soft sage undertones where the topcoat has been lightly rubbed back, giving the metal a genuinely weathered, vintage-industrial character. Five radiating bars fan out from a smaller inner arch at the crown, while the lower section is divided into a neat grid of rectangular panes separated by slender metal glazing bars. Each pane is a separate piece of clear mirror glass, so the overall effect closely mimics real window architecture. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, helping to guard the mirror panels from moisture when used outdoors. At 2.5 cm wide, the frame profile is slim enough to keep the focus on the reflective surface rather than the surround.
Size & Placement
Measuring 79 cm tall by 51 cm wide, this is a small-to-medium garden mirror — a size we often suggest for fence panels, brick pillars, and courtyard walls where a larger piece would overpower the space. Outdoors, try mounting it at eye level on a brick wall or timber fence, surrounded by climbing plants or a window box for a trompe-l’œil window effect. Indoors, the arch window style works beautifully above a console table in a hallway, over a mantelpiece, or as a focal point in a living room with industrial or vintage décor. At just 5 kg, it sits comfortably on most wall types without needing heavy-duty anchoring. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it on a shelf or mantlepiece if you prefer not to drill.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you simply hook it onto a pair of screws already set in your wall. Measure the distance between the keyholes, mark your wall, and drill. For brick or stone walls outdoors, use appropriate masonry fixings; for stud walls indoors, ensure each screw hits a stud or use suitable plasterboard anchors. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings rated for your wall type. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. At 5 kg, one person can manage the installation comfortably, though a second pair of hands is always helpful when lining up keyhole slots.
