The frame is built from hardwood and casting resin, finished in a warm antique silver that sits somewhere between champagne and pewter — not overly bright, but with enough lustre to catch the light. Up close, you can see the scrolling acanthus-leaf carving that runs continuously around all four sides, bordered by a fine beaded inner edge. The moulding has a subtle brushed quality, with natural tonal variation across the relief that gives it the depth of a genuinely aged piece rather than a flat metallic spray. At roughly 6 cm wide, the frame is substantial enough to read as decorative without overwhelming the glass. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
