This large black mirror full length piece brings a grounding sense of drama to any room. A steady performer in our Full Length Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for ornate detailing in a darker, more contemporary finish.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from solid hardwood and casting resin, finished in a deep matte black that lets the ornate carving do the talking. Up close, you can see a continuous scrolling acanthus-leaf pattern running the full width and height of the moulding, bordered by a fine beaded inner edge. It is classical in inspiration yet the all-black colourway keeps it firmly modern — a full-length black wall mirror that pairs as easily with industrial-style interiors as it does with period décor. The glass is bevelled around its perimeter, adding a subtle light-catching edge that lifts the mirror’s face away from the frame. Overall, the profile is substantial — roughly 6 cm wide — giving the piece real visual weight without feeling bulky.
Size & Placement
At 160 cm tall and 73 cm wide, this is a genuinely large full length mirror in a black frame that provides a head-to-knee reflection for most adults. In our experience, a mirror of this proportion works particularly well in a hallway or landing where you want a quick outfit check, or in a bedroom positioned beside a wardrobe. Hung in landscape, the same mirror becomes a striking overmantle or a wide focal piece above a console table in a living room. With a flat bottom edge, it can also be leaned against a wall at a gentle angle — a popular styling choice for bedrooms and dressing areas where you want a relaxed, editorial feel. At only 4 cm deep, it sits close to the wall whether hung or leaned, and the dark wood frame sits beautifully alongside natural timber furniture, brass accents, or softer neutral tones.
Hanging & Installation
This rectangular full length wall mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the reverse, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line your wall screws up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 17 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning the mirror, and you should use fixings rated for your specific wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard on stud, etc.). Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
