This gold hexagon mirror pairs a bold geometric silhouette with a refined brushed-gold frame, creating a piece that feels modern yet warm. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something beyond the usual rectangular shape.
Design & Materials
The hexagonal frame is constructed from steel with a brushed gold finish that has a soft, lightly textured surface — closer to antique gold than high-shine brass. Up close, fine linear striations in the metalwork catch the light and add subtle depth. The frame profile is slim at approximately 2.5 cm wide, giving the mirror a clean, pared-back feel that suits both modern and industrial interiors. The glass itself is clear and unadorned, without a bevelled edge, so the reflection sits flush against the frame for a crisp, geometric look. A wood-based backing board provides rigidity and helps protect the mirror from behind. In our experience, this understated gold metal frame works beautifully alongside both warm and cool-toned décor — pair it with muted greens, soft whites, or charcoal accent walls for a balanced scheme.
Size & Placement
At 90 cm tall and 60 cm wide, this decorative wall mirror in gold is generously sized without being imposing. Hung in portrait orientation above a console table or sideboard, it creates a natural focal point in a hallway or living room. The hexagonal shape also makes it an interesting alternative to a traditional overmantle mirror — at 60 cm wide, it sits comfortably above a standard mantelpiece. In a bedroom, try it above a chest of drawers; the gold-framed wall mirror adds light and visual interest without competing with surrounding furniture. The 2 cm depth keeps the profile close to the wall, so it never feels bulky. At 10 kg, it has a reassuring solidity that speaks to its steel-and-wood construction.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror is designed for portrait hanging only and arrives with two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you simply hook it onto a pair of wall screws. We recommend measuring and levelling both screw positions carefully before drilling, as the hexagonal shape makes any tilt more noticeable than it would be on a rectangular mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings suitable for your wall type. For plasterboard walls, cavity fixings rated to at least 15 kg per point will provide a secure hold. On solid masonry, standard rawl plugs and screws are sufficient. At 10 kg, this is comfortable for one person to lift into place, but a second pair of hands makes aligning the keyholes easier. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
