This silver ornate full length mirror brings a generous sweep of reflected light and unmistakable period character to any room it enters. Part of our Langford Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our bedroom and hallway customers, it balances decorative drama with a versatile silver finish that pairs easily with both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from a hardwood core overlaid with hand-finished casting resin, giving it the depth and detail of carved timber at a more practical weight. A cross-hatched lattice texture runs the length of each rail, punctuated by raised floral medallions at regular intervals along the sides and elaborate acanthus-and-shell cartouches at each corner. The silver finish has a soft, lightly antiqued sheen — not high-gloss chrome but not flat either — that catches the light without overwhelming it. A stepped inner moulding frames bevelled mirror glass, adding a fine prismatic edge that subtly lifts the reflection. In our experience, this kind of warm-silver tone reads more like vintage silver leaf than modern metallic paint, making it a natural companion for antique furniture, muted linens, and neutral wall colours.
Size & Placement
At 168 cm tall and 78 cm wide, this full length silver wall mirror provides a genuine head-to-toe reflection without dominating a standard UK wall. Hung portrait in a bedroom or dressing area, it gives you a practical full-length view while the ornate frame doubles as a focal point. Thanks to its flat bottom edge, it also leans securely against a wall — a popular option for bedrooms where drilling isn’t ideal. Turn it landscape and it becomes a large wall full length mirror suited to life above a sideboard, console table, or mantelpiece, stretching the sense of width in a dining room or living space. The 7 cm frame depth gives it satisfying presence on the wall without protruding too far, and the 6 cm frame width keeps the reflective area generous. For hallways or narrower rooms, hanging it portrait creates the illusion of more space, while the silver finish reflects ambient light to brighten darker corners.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives with four D-loops pre-fitted to the back of the frame, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line up your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — do not use wire, string, or chain. At 18 kg this is a substantial piece, so we recommend a two-person lift for positioning and hanging. If your wall is plasterboard or stud, use fixings rated for the weight; for solid masonry, standard rawl plugs and screws will do the job. Wall fixings are not included so you can choose the type best suited to your wall.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
