This gold ornate full length mirror delivers the kind of grand, traditional presence that can anchor an entire room. Drawn from our Langford Collection range, a line we return to often when customers ask for richly detailed classical frames.
Design & Materials
The frame is built on a solid hardwood core with ornamental details cast in resin, giving you the depth and intricacy of hand-carved decoration at a more accessible price point. A warm gold finish covers the entire frame, with subtle tonal variation across the raised scrollwork, floral corner cartouches, and cross-hatched centre panels — the kind of layered patina that reads as authentically antique rather than flat or uniform. Each long rail carries a central floral medallion flanked by rope-twist moulding, while the corner pieces feature acanthus leaves, shells, and blossom clusters in high relief. In our experience, this level of ornamental detail is unusual at this size and price. The bevelled mirror glass adds a refined edge, softly catching the light and lending an extra sense of depth to the reflection.
Size & Placement
At 168 cm tall and 78 cm wide, this is a generous full length gold wall mirror that provides a head-to-toe view for most adults. The flat bottom edge means it leans securely against a wall, making it a natural fit as a bedroom leaner beside a wardrobe or at the end of a landing. Hung in portrait, it transforms a narrow hallway by reflecting light back through the space. Flip it to landscape orientation and you have an impressive overmantle or a statement piece above a console table in a living or dining room. The 6 cm frame width gives real visual weight without overwhelming standard-width walls — a large gold mirror of this stature pairs especially well with neutral or dark-painted rooms, complementing both vintage furniture and more contemporary pieces. Customers tend to pair this with warm wood tones, antique brass hardware, or even cool grey walls for a balanced contrast.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted to the back of the frame, positioned for both portrait and landscape hanging. To mount, simply align your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — no wire or chain is needed. At 18 kg, this is a substantial piece, so we recommend two people for lifting and positioning. Use fixings appropriate for your wall type: heavy-duty rawl plugs for masonry, or suitable plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Wall screws and plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
