Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large garden arch mirror pairs a graceful arched silhouette with a multi-pane window design, creating the illusion of an extra opening wherever you place it. Part of our Honiton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and conservatory customers, it brings genuine architectural character to any setting.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from steel with a beautifully mottled green-and-gold finish that has the look of naturally aged verdigris. Up close, you can see warm ochre tones peeking through the green patina — a deliberate distressed treatment that gives the mirror an established, time-worn feel straight out of the box. The frame is divided into a grid of individual mirror panes — fifteen rectangular panels below and a decorative arched fan section at the top — echoing the proportions of a traditional Victorian orangery window. Each pane sits within slim metal glazing bars roughly 2.5 cm wide, keeping the profile slender and letting the reflective surface do most of the visual work. The glass is clear and un-bevelled for crisp, true reflections. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear. Because the mirror is rated for outdoor use, the metal frame and fixings are designed to withstand the elements, though the finish will naturally evolve with exposure to weather over time.
Size & Placement
At 140 cm tall and 56 cm wide, this is a substantial piece without being overwhelming — tall enough to catch sky and greenery when mounted on a garden wall, yet narrow enough to fit beside a doorway or between planted borders. We often suggest this for courtyard walls and patio fences where it bounces light back into shaded spots and makes a compact space feel twice as large. The flat bottom edge means you can lean it against a wall at ground level among potted plants for a relaxed, layered look — exactly as shown in the lifestyle image. Indoors, this large window mirror for wall use works beautifully in hallways, conservatories, and period living rooms; the rustic green tones complement exposed brick, natural wood furniture, and neutral plasterwork. If you favour shabby chic or vintage styling, it slots in effortlessly alongside distressed timber and antique metalwork.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings are fitted to the back — one on each side — so you simply hook the mirror onto a pair of screws in the wall. There is no need for wire, string, or chain, and these should not be used. At 10 kg the mirror is manageable for two people to lift into position; in our experience, having someone steady the frame while you check alignment makes hanging much smoother. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type — heavy-duty rawl plugs for masonry, or appropriate plasterboard anchors for stud walls. For outdoor mounting on a garden wall or fence, stainless-steel or brass screws will resist corrosion best.
