Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This round black window mirror combines a clean circular silhouette with a bold nine-panel grid, creating the effect of a porthole window on any wall it graces. A recent addition to our Exmouth Collection range, it was chosen for its ability to work just as convincingly mounted on exterior brickwork as it does above a console table in a hallway.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth matte black powder-coat finish — a treatment that resists the elements while keeping the look understated and modern. Two horizontal and two vertical bars divide the mirror glass into nine individual panes, each held within the circular outer rim. The bars sit flush with the frame, giving the piece a flat, contemporary profile rather than the raised muntins you might find on a more traditional window mirror. Overall depth is just 2 cm, so it sits close to the wall without protruding. The backing is a solid plastic sheet board that shields the rear from moisture — an important detail for any mirror destined for outdoor placement. In our experience, the matte black finish pairs effortlessly with both raw brick and painted render, and it complements other black metal garden wall art without competing for attention.
Size & Placement
At 100 cm in diameter, this is a generously sized round black metal wall mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a space. Outdoors, it works beautifully mounted on a garden wall or fence to reflect greenery, creating the illusion of depth in smaller courtyard or patio areas. Indoors, we often suggest this for hallways, dining rooms, or above a mantelpiece where a large round black wall mirror can anchor the room and bounce light into darker corners. The industrial grid pattern sits naturally alongside exposed brick, concrete, and timber — if your interior leans towards a metal or industrial aesthetic, this is a shape we reach for. Because the mirror is round, there is no orientation to worry about; it hangs the same way regardless. At 10 kg, it has a solid, well-made feel without being unwieldy.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole brackets on the back, so installation is straightforward: simply drive two screws into the wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror over them. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so please choose fixings appropriate for your wall type — standard wall plugs for masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors if you are mounting on a stud wall indoors. At 10 kg, we recommend two people for lifting and positioning to ensure the mirror is level. If you are hanging it outdoors, stainless steel or zinc-plated screws will resist corrosion better over time. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror.
