Warm Oak, Clean Lines
This oak framed mirror pairs the warmth of solid honeyed oak with a clean, contemporary shadow box profile that gives it quiet depth and presence on any wall. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for natural wood tones and understated design.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from solid oak with a warm, honeyed finish that lets the natural grain show through. In our experience, this kind of natural timber frame sits comfortably with a wide range of interiors — from mid-century modern to relaxed Scandi-inspired schemes. The profile is a shadow box design: the glass sits recessed within the frame by roughly 4.8 cm, creating a subtle shelf-like depth that catches the light and adds visual interest without fuss. At approximately 3.5 cm wide, the frame is slim enough to feel modern yet substantial enough to give the mirror real presence. The glass is clear and unadorned — no bevel — keeping the overall look pared-back and honest. The back is neatly finished with a black felt backing, protecting your wall surface.
Size & Placement
At 102 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this wooden wall mirror occupies a generous area of wall space without overwhelming a room. Hung in portrait above a console table or sideboard, it creates a natural focal point for a hallway or living room. Flip it to landscape and it works beautifully as an overmantle piece above a fireplace, where the honeyed oak tones contrast nicely with painted chimney breasts in greens, greys, or blues. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a wall on a shelf or mantelpiece for a more relaxed, layered look. If you’re furnishing a bedroom, this oak wall mirror pairs especially well with wooden framed mirrors in lighter finishes and natural-material furniture — think rattan headboards, linen bedding, and warm neutrals.
Hanging & Installation
This framed rectangular wall mirror arrives fitted with four D-loop fixings on the back, positioned to allow both portrait and landscape hanging. Simply align your wall screws with the D-loops and hang directly — no wire or chain is needed or recommended. At 10 kg, it has a solid, reassuring weight; we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it on the wall. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate to your wall type — heavier-duty anchors for plasterboard, standard plugs and screws for masonry.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
