Modern simplicity, inside and out
This full length black metal mirror pairs a clean arch silhouette with a pared-back steel frame, creating a piece that feels contemporary without trying too hard. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a modern black frame that works in multiple settings.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel finished in a smooth matte black coating — understated and consistent in tone, with a slim profile of approximately 2.5 cm that keeps attention on the glass rather than the surround. The top curves into a gentle arch while the three remaining edges are straight with softly rounded corners, giving the mirror a distinctive shape that sits somewhere between a classic rectangle and a full arched design. The glass itself is clear and unbevelled, offering a crisp, undistorted reflection across the full surface. A plastic sheet backing board provides rigidity and protection from behind. In our experience, this kind of thin-framed arch is one of the most versatile shapes you can choose — it brings a subtle architectural quality to a wall without committing to an ornate style.
Size & Placement
At 170 cm tall and 85 cm wide, this is a genuine large full length mirror — tall enough for a head-to-toe view and broad enough to feel generous on the wall without overwhelming a space. It works beautifully as a full length black wall mirror in a hallway, leaned against the wall in a bedroom, or mounted in a dressing area. The flat bottom means it can lean securely against a solid wall if you prefer not to fix it permanently, which makes it especially useful as a leaner in a living room or boutique fitting area. Because it is rated for outdoor use, you can also position it on a sheltered garden wall or patio to reflect light and greenery — a simple trick that opens up smaller courtyard spaces. The modern black finish pairs naturally with industrial-style furniture, Scandi interiors, and pared-back contemporary schemes, though it also provides a sharp contrast against lighter painted walls or natural timber panelling.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws already set into your wall — no wire or chain is needed, and these should not be used. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so please choose fixings appropriate for your wall type; for plasterboard or stud walls, specialist plasterboard anchors rated for at least 20 kg are essential. At 20 kg, this is a substantial piece, and we recommend a two-person lift when positioning and hanging it. If you plan to lean the mirror rather than wall-mount it, place it on a level, stable surface and tilt it gently back against the wall. For outdoor installation, ensure the fixings you select are corrosion-resistant and that the wall can support the weight securely.
