Garden charm, scaled down
This small window mirror pairs an elegant arch silhouette with a weathered metal frame, creating a piece that feels as though it has been reclaimed from an old conservatory wall. A recent addition to our Brockley Collection range, it was chosen for its ability to bring vintage warmth to even the tightest spaces — indoors or out.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel finished in a hand-applied distressed green with warm gold undertones showing through, giving each piece a genuinely aged, rustic appearance. Horizontal and vertical bars divide the mirror glass into individual panes, echoing the look of a traditional window. At each intersection sits a small floral rosette — a cast ornamental detail that lifts the design from simple to ornate. The mirror glass itself is clear and unbevelled, sitting behind the metal framework, with a plastic sheet backing board for protection. In our experience, the layered patina of green, gold, and exposed metal underneath means no two mirrors look quite identical, which adds to the vintage appeal.
Size & Placement
At 40 cm tall and 24 cm wide, this is a genuinely compact piece — roughly the footprint of a hardback book. That modest scale makes it easy to slot into spaces where a larger garden mirror would overwhelm: think a narrow fence panel, a sheltered courtyard nook, or a small patio wall between potted plants. It is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so it works equally well mounted in a downstairs cloakroom, on a kitchen dresser shelf, or beside a hallway coat hook. The arch shape and vintage metal frame sit naturally alongside other rustic or vintage décor — exposed brick, reclaimed wood shelving, or painted tongue-and-groove panelling. Customers looking for a small vintage wall mirror to complete a gallery wall arrangement will find the scale and character of this piece slots in without competing for attention. It also has a flat bottom edge, so it can lean against a surface on a mantelpiece or shelf if you prefer not to drill.
Hanging & Installation
Weighing just 2 kg, this metal arch wall mirror is straightforward to hang. One or more keyhole fixings are fitted to the back, so you simply hook it over screws already fixed to your wall — no wire, string, or chain is needed. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings appropriate for your wall type (masonry anchors for brick, cavity fixings for plasterboard). For outdoor placement on a garden wall, stainless-steel or rust-resistant screws are advisable to keep the mounting hardware in good condition alongside the weather-treated frame.
