Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This crittall edged black metal mirror brings warehouse character to any space it occupies. A recent addition to our Henley Collection range, it was chosen for its generous proportions and versatile indoor–outdoor construction — a combination that opens up styling possibilities most mirrors simply cannot offer.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a matte black powder-coat finish that resists the elements and complements contemporary interiors in equal measure. Sixteen individual mirror panes sit around a large central panel, creating an asymmetric grid pattern reminiscent of Crittall factory windows. The bars are slim — roughly 2.5 cm wide — so the overall impression is architectural rather than heavy. Each pane is backed by a plastic sheet board for added rigidity, and the glass itself is clear and unbevelled, keeping the reflection sharp and undistorted. In our experience, this style of black metal grid mirror pairs especially well with exposed brick, polished concrete, or neutral painted walls where the dark frame can really stand out.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 110 cm wide, this is an extra large rectangular wall mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a room. Hung portrait in a hallway, it doubles the sense of depth and light; turned landscape above a long sideboard or console table, it works as a modern large wall mirror with real visual impact. The flat bottom edge means you can also lean it against a wall as a black metal leaner mirror — ideal for bedrooms or dressing areas where a full-length reflection is useful. Because it is rated for outdoor use, you can position it on a sheltered garden wall or fence to reflect foliage and sky, making a compact courtyard or patio feel significantly larger. We often suggest this for dining rooms or open-plan kitchens where an industrial accent ties together mixed-material schemes.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has four keyhole fixings on the back, allowing you to hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of each keyhole, then hook the mirror on. At 30 kg, this is a substantial piece — we recommend a two-person lift during installation and strong fixings suited to your wall type. For masonry, use heavy-duty rawl plugs; for stud walls, fix directly into the timber studs or use specialist plasterboard anchors rated for the weight. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror.
