Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This full length mirror black metal frame combines clean industrial lines with genuine indoor-outdoor versatility. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a modern black mirror that works in multiple settings — it brings architectural interest to any wall it graces.
Design & Materials
The defining feature is the twin-bar frame: two parallel steel rectangles, offset so that an open gap runs down each side, creating the illusion of a floating inner mirror. Finished in a matte black powder-coat, the frame has a contemporary, almost Crittall-like character. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the bars are slim yet sturdy, framing the clear, unbevelled glass with real presence. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear.
Because the steel is powder-coated rather than painted, it handles moisture and weathering well — the reason we’re confident recommending it outdoors. The matte finish also avoids competing with the reflections in the glass, a detail that matters once you see it in situ.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this is a genuinely large full length black mirror — tall enough for a head-to-toe reflection and wide enough to open up a narrow space. In the garden, lean it against a brick wall or fence to bounce light into a shaded border. Indoors, it makes a confident statement in a hallway, bedroom, or dressing area. The flat bottom edge means it can rest securely against a wall as a full length floor mirror, ideal where drilling isn’t practical.
If you’re working with a modern or industrial scheme — exposed brick, concrete, dark joinery — this rectangular full length wall mirror slots in without fuss. Customers tend to pair this with warm metallics like brass hardware to offset the cool black frame. Hung horizontally, it transforms into a wide landscape mirror that stretches a dining room or living space.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has four keyhole fixings on the back, allowing you to hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding keyholes, then hook the mirror on. At 18 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning, and you should ensure your fixings are rated for the weight — particularly on stud or plasterboard walls, where specialist anchors are essential. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings suitable for your wall type. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror.
