Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This large black garden mirror full length makes a real impact wherever you place it. Its clean industrial grid layout — three tall vertical panes flanked by smaller panels at top and bottom — creates the look of a heritage factory window, catching light and reflecting greenery to open up even enclosed outdoor spaces. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up, chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a versatile indoor-outdoor piece with genuine architectural presence.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a matte black finish that sits quietly against most wall surfaces and fence tones. Slim bars, roughly 2.5 cm wide, divide the glass into nine distinct sections — two rows of three shorter panes at the top and bottom, with three tall central panes between them. The result is a window-style mirror that feels structural rather than decorative, borrowing from the Crittall tradition without the weight of cast iron. Behind the glass, a plastic sheet backing board protects the mirror and helps keep moisture out — an important detail for outdoor placement. The glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, giving crisp, undistorted reflections. In our experience, this matte black steel finish pairs especially well with exposed brick, dark timber fencing, and pale rendered walls.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 85 cm wide, this is a genuinely full-length mirror — tall enough for a head-to-toe reflection and broad enough to feel substantial on a large wall. In the garden, we often suggest mounting it on a fence panel or garden wall where it can reflect planting and sky, creating an illusion of depth that makes smaller courtyards feel twice as spacious. Because it has a flat bottom edge, it also works beautifully leaned against an interior wall — in a hallway, bedroom, or living room — for a relaxed, contemporary look. The 4 cm depth keeps it close to the wall, and at 18 kg it has a reassuring solidity without being unmanageable. If you are considering a large full length mirror with a black frame for a modern or industrial-style room, this rectangular design holds its own alongside exposed metalwork, concrete finishes, and minimalist furniture.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with four keyhole fixings on the back, allowing you to hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to align with the centre of each keyhole, then hook the mirror into place. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — use fixings appropriate for your wall type, whether that is solid masonry, brick, or a sturdy timber fence post. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. At 18 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it on the wall. If you are mounting it outdoors, ensure the fixings are rated for exterior use and that the wall surface is solid enough to support the weight securely.
