Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This black steel wall art brings an impressive sense of scale and craftsmanship to any setting. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for statement decorative pieces that bridge indoor and outdoor living — it delivers real visual impact without the weight or fragility of glass.
Design & Materials
The panel is laser-cut from solid steel, forming a detailed silhouette of intertwining tree trunks and branches that fill the entire rectangular frame. The open-work design means light, foliage, and whatever sits behind the piece become part of the composition — shifting with the time of day and the angle you view it from. Up close, the steel has a lightly textured, matte black powder-coat finish that resists the elements and keeps the look consistent season after season. A slim 2.5 cm outer border frames the design neatly without competing with the organic lines within. In our experience, this style of metal garden wall art works particularly well against pale brick, rendered walls, or timber fencing, where the dark silhouette stands out most crisply.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 90 cm wide, this is an extra large outdoor metal wall art piece that commands attention. Hung in portrait orientation on a garden wall or fence, it creates a focal point comparable to a window — drawing the eye without the maintenance of a planted feature. It also suits covered patios, courtyards, and sheltered entertaining areas where you want bold texture without adding bulk; the panel is just 4 cm deep. Indoors, the proportions work well in hallways, stairwells, or above console tables in living rooms. Because the base is flat, you could also lean it against a wall if you prefer not to drill — a useful option for renters or anyone styling a temporary display. At 8 kg it is lighter than a comparable glass mirror, though its height means two people should handle the positioning.
Hanging & Installation
Two keyhole fixings are fitted to the back of the panel — one on each side — so you simply hook the piece onto a pair of wall screws. Mark your screw positions 90 cm apart, level with each other, and ensure the fixings are appropriate for your wall type: heavy-duty rawl plugs and screws for masonry, or suitable plasterboard fixings if hanging indoors on a stud wall. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this piece. Given the 180 cm height, we recommend having a second person steady the panel while you line up the keyholes.
