Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This full length black arch mirror draws on classic window architecture — a graceful arched top with multi-pane glazing bars — and renders it in robust steel, ready for indoor or outdoor placement. Part of our Honiton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a predominantly black finish that carries subtle gold undertones where the topcoat has been lightly distressed. Look closely and you will see the brushed-through effect most clearly on the arch and the glazing bars, giving the frame an aged, almost reclaimed character without veering into heavy rusticity. The pane layout follows a traditional pattern: three columns of rectangular panes below, crowned by a smaller arch within the main arch at the top. Each pane holds a separate piece of clear mirror glass, and the slim 2.5 cm profile keeps the emphasis on the reflective surface rather than the frame. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 85 cm wide, this is a generous black arch mirror full length piece that creates real visual impact. In the garden, we often suggest mounting it on a brick or rendered wall at the end of a border — the reflected greenery creates an illusion of depth that can make a compact outdoor space feel twice its size. Because the base is flat, you can also lean it against a wall indoors: a hallway, living room, or loft-style bedroom all work well. At 18 kg, it has enough heft to feel stable when leaned, yet is not so heavy that wall-mounting becomes impractical. The industrial window pane styling pairs naturally with exposed brick, timber beams, and modern neutral schemes, while the distressed gold detailing means it sits comfortably alongside warmer metallic accents too. If you are looking for a large full length black mirror that bridges the gap between decorative and architectural, this is a shape we reach for often.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes with two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you simply hook it onto a pair of screws set at the correct spacing. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate to your wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard with specialist fixings, etc.). At 18 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning the mirror, especially if you are wall-mounting at height outdoors. If leaning, tilt the base slightly out from the wall so it rests securely against the surface.
