This art deco large wall mirror draws its character from a triple-layered bevelled glass border — three parallel strips of mirror that step outward from the central pane, creating a refined geometric frame without a single piece of timber or metal on show. Part of our Lynmouth Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and hallway customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from three individual bevelled mirror strips arranged concentrically around a large central glass. Each bevel catches light at a slightly different angle, producing crisp linear reflections that nod to 1920s deco styling while remaining thoroughly modern. The glass sits on a hardwood backing finished with a black felt layer, which protects your wall surface and adds rigidity to the overall build. Because the frame is entirely mirrored, the piece appears almost to float against the wall — a look we often suggest for rooms where you want impact without visual weight. There are no ornate carvings or decorative mouldings here; the design relies on precision-cut bevels and clean right angles, making it equally at home in modern and art deco-inspired interiors.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this large rectangular wall mirror is substantial enough to anchor a feature wall yet narrow enough to sit comfortably above a console table or sideboard without overwhelming the space. Hung in portrait, it works naturally in a hallway or above a mantelpiece; flip it to landscape and it becomes a striking decorative wall piece above a sofa or bed. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a wall on a deep shelf or mantel for a more relaxed, layered look. At just 2 cm deep, it maintains a slim, flush profile — a practical benefit in narrower corridors or alcoves. If you’re pairing it with existing décor, the all-mirror finish is inherently neutral, sitting happily alongside both cool-toned greys and warmer metallics.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the reverse, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line up your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 15 kg, we recommend a two-person lift to position the mirror safely and to hold it steady while marking your drill points. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings rated for your wall type, especially if mounting on plasterboard or stud walls where standard plugs may not provide sufficient grip.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
