Sculptural Shape, Understated Impact
This is a shape we reach for when customers want modern decorative wall mirrors that double as wall art. Part of our Flowford Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our contemporary-styled interiors customers, it trades sharp geometry for soft, undulating curves — a frameless silhouette that draws the eye without competing with the rest of your décor.
Design & Materials
The mirror glass is cut into a flowing, asymmetric form — wider at the top and base, narrowing through the centre in an almost figurative sweep. There is no frame in the traditional sense; instead, a slim black edge is visible from the side, formed by the wooden backing that supports the glass. The front face is clean, unadorned, and entirely reflective, with no bevelled edges. From a distance the effect is of a pool of light floating on the wall, its organic outline offering the kind of visual texture you would normally get from a decorative frame. The black-finished back sits flush, keeping the profile to just 2 cm deep.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 50 cm wide, this large modern wall mirror is generous enough for a head-to-waist check yet narrow enough to slot into spaces where a broad rectangular mirror would overwhelm. In a hallway, it becomes an instant focal point above a console table; in a living room, it can stand in for conventional wall art beside a bookcase or between windows. Because the base is flat, you also have the option of leaning it against a wall at floor level — a relaxed look that suits bedrooms and dressing areas. Its plain, frameless aesthetic pairs naturally with minimalist Scandinavian schemes, but the sculptural outline means it holds its own in bolder, eclectic interiors too. If you are after a large decorative wall mirror for a living room that avoids the formality of ornate frames, this irregular shape is well worth considering.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives with two D-loop fixings pre-fitted to the wooden back, aligned vertically for portrait hanging. Install two screws in your wall, spaced evenly to match the centres of the D-loops, and hang the mirror directly — no wire or chain should be used. At 10 kg it is manageable for one person, though a second pair of hands makes positioning easier, especially when measuring D-loop spacing. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type — toggle bolts for plasterboard, standard plugs for masonry.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
