Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This black scalloped arch full length mirror pairs a dramatic silhouette with a deliberately pared-back frame, giving you a piece that commands attention without competing with its surroundings. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something that bridges modern and decorative styles.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a matte black powder-coat finish — smooth, even, and built to resist the elements when placed outdoors. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the frame is intentionally slim, letting the mirror glass and the scalloped profile do the talking. That triple-arched crown is the standout detail: a softened ogee shape with concave curves that reference Moorish and art deco architecture without feeling heavy-handed. The glass itself is clear and flat — no bevel — so reflections stay clean and undistorted. A rigid plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, and in our experience this combination of steel frame and sealed back holds up well in sheltered garden positions as well as interior spaces.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 70 cm wide, this is a genuinely full-length piece — tall enough for a head-to-toe reflection yet narrow enough to slot into spaces where a broader arch mirror would overwhelm. The flat bottom means you can lean it securely against a wall, which is a style we see chosen most often for bedrooms and dressing areas. Propped against exposed brick or painted plaster, the slim black frame creates a clean, graphic outline. Outdoors, position it against a garden wall or fence to bounce light and greenery back into a patio or border — the arch shape naturally draws the eye upward, making compact gardens feel taller. Indoors, it works beautifully in a hallway, at the end of a landing, or beside a bed, as shown in the bedroom setting. At 20 kg it has a reassuring solidity, so it sits steadily when leaned.
Hanging & Installation
If you prefer wall mounting, the mirror comes with two keyhole fixings on the back — simply hook them over two screws driven into your wall. For solid masonry, standard rawl plugs and screws will do the job; for stud walls, locate the timber studs or use specialist plasterboard fixings rated for the 20 kg weight. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Given the size and weight, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it on the wall. If you plan to lean it instead, no fixings are needed — just ensure the surface beneath is level and the mirror rests flat against the wall.
