Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This extra large outdoor wall art panel makes a bold visual statement wherever you choose to hang it. A steady performer in our Full Length Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for contemporary metal pieces — it pairs the presence of large-scale décor with a design light enough to let the wall behind show through.
Design & Materials
Crafted from solid steel, the panel features a laser-cut pattern of sinuous, flame-like forms that ripple upward across the full rectangular surface. The cut-outs are generous and irregular, giving the piece an organic, almost botanical quality — somewhere between driftwood and flowing water. Up close, the black powder-coat finish reveals a fine speckled texture with warm bronze and grey flecks, adding subtle visual interest that a flat-black paint simply cannot match. A slim 2.5 cm edge frame borders the entire piece, lending it a clean, finished silhouette. There is no mirror glass here; instead, the open cut-outs frame whatever sits behind — a garden wall, foliage, or an interior paint colour — making the background part of the artwork itself.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 90 cm wide, this is a genuinely large piece of outside wall art — comparable in height to a full-length mirror, yet lighter at just 8 kg thanks to the open design. We often suggest this for garden feature walls, courtyard fences, or above an outdoor bench where it can anchor a seating area. Mounted on timber cladding or rendered masonry, the dark steel and organic pattern create a striking contrast. Indoors, it works equally well: think a double-height hallway, a dining room accent wall, or a modern living space that needs large metal wall art without the weight of a framed mirror. Because the panel has a flat bottom edge, you can also lean it against a wall for a relaxed, gallery-style arrangement — useful if you prefer not to drill into brickwork. At only 4 cm deep, it sits close to the wall surface and does not protrude into walkways.
Hanging & Installation
The panel is fitted with four keyhole fixings on the reverse, allowing you to hang it in portrait orientation. Position your wall screws to align with the centre of each keyhole, then simply hook the panel on. Although 8 kg is manageable, the 180 cm height means a second pair of hands is helpful when lining up the fixings — we recommend having someone steady the panel while you mark screw positions. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this piece. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; use fixings appropriate to your wall type — expanding anchors for solid masonry, or toggle bolts for stud walls. For outdoor mounting, stainless-steel screws will resist corrosion and keep the installation looking clean over time.
