A modern silhouette that plays with symmetry
This frameless half circle wall mirror takes the familiar round mirror form and slices it cleanly in two, creating a shape that feels both sculptural and restrained. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something quietly unconventional. The result is a large modern wall mirror that draws the eye without demanding a frame to do so.
Design & Materials
The mirror is cut to a precise semicircle: one perfectly straight vertical edge and one broad, sweeping curve. There is no frame at all — just polished glass backed by a sturdy wooden board finished in black. In our experience, this kind of frameless design works particularly well against panelled or textured walls, where a frame would compete with the surface detail. The glass is flat (not bevelled), giving a crisp, unbroken reflection right to the edge. The overall look is pared-back and modern, sitting comfortably alongside plain or contemporary décor schemes.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 60 cm wide in portrait orientation, this semi-circular mirror is generous enough to be a focal point without overwhelming a wall. Position it above a console table in a hallway for an entrance that immediately feels more open, or centre it over a bedside unit for a soft, geometric accent. Flip it to landscape — 60 cm tall and 120 cm wide — and it becomes a striking alternative to a traditional overmantle mirror, sitting neatly above a sideboard or sofa. Because the flat edge can be placed against a corner or adjacent to a doorframe, it also pairs beautifully with architectural features. We often suggest this for narrow or awkward wall spaces where a full circle would be too wide but a rectangle too predictable.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with four D-loop brackets on the back, pre-positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to align with the centre of the corresponding D-loops, then hook the mirror directly onto them — no wire or chain is needed or recommended. At 10 kg, a two-person lift makes positioning easier and safer. Use fixings appropriate to your wall type: rawl plugs and screws for solid masonry, or dedicated plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Wall screws and plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
