Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large gold segmented round mirror is a genuinely statement-sized piece — at 180 cm across, it commands attention wherever you place it. A recent addition to our Watchet Collection range, it was chosen for its clean crossbar design and weather-ready construction, making it one of the most versatile extra large round mirrors we stock.
Design & Materials
The frame is crafted from steel finished in a warm, satin-toned gold that catches the light without appearing brash. Two slim bars — one vertical, one horizontal — cross the centre of the glass, dividing the mirror into four equal quadrants and giving it an understated window-pane silhouette. The profile is narrow at roughly 2.5 cm, keeping the emphasis on the reflective surface rather than the surround. Glass is clear and un-bevelled, delivering a crisp, undistorted reflection. The back is sealed with a plastic sheet backing board, helping to protect the silvering from moisture — an important detail for any large round gold wall mirror intended for outdoor use.
Size & Placement
At 180 × 180 cm, this is an extra large round gold mirror that works best on generous wall spaces. In the garden, we often suggest mounting it against a brick or rendered boundary wall where it can reflect greenery and open sky, creating the illusion of a circular window. Indoors, it excels in dining rooms, double-height hallways, or open-plan living areas — the second lifestyle image shows just how effectively it doubles the visual depth of a dining space. The 2 cm depth keeps it sitting close to the wall, so it never feels bulky despite its scale. If you have a large contemporary living room and want a single focal point above a sideboard or console, this extra large round wall mirror will fill that role comfortably without additional wall art.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back, so you simply hook it onto two screws set at the correct spacing. At 25 kg, a two-person lift is essential — have someone steady the frame while you align the keyholes. Use fixings appropriate for your wall type: heavy-duty rawl plugs and coach screws for masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. For outdoor installation, stainless-steel or brass screws are worth considering to prevent corrosion over time.
