Two metres of mirror — indoors or out
This large round mirror with a black frame is genuinely commanding. At 200 cm across, it is one of the largest circular mirrors you will find anywhere, and the clean crossbar detail stops it from feeling featureless at that scale. A recent addition to our Watchet Collection range, chosen for its ability to transform a blank wall — garden or interior — into a focal point in seconds.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a matte black powder-coat finish that reads as modern and unfussy. It sits about 2.5 cm wide and 2 cm deep, which is slim enough to keep the emphasis on the glass yet sturdy enough to hold four large mirror panels securely. A single cross-shaped steel bar bisects the circle both vertically and horizontally, creating four equal quadrants that echo the look of a Crittall-style round window. Each panel is clear, unbevelled mirror glass, and the backing is a plastic sheet board that adds weather resistance — important because this mirror is rated for outdoor use. In our experience, matte black metal frames age gracefully outdoors, developing only a slight patina if left untreated in exposed conditions.
Size & Placement
At 200 cm high and 200 cm wide, this extra large round mirror for a wall needs serious space. On a garden wall it acts almost like an additional window, bouncing greenery, sky, and light back into the space and making even a modest courtyard feel twice the size. It sits especially well against natural brick, aged render, or timber fencing. Indoors, we often suggest this for double-height hallways, large open-plan living areas, or commercial settings such as hotel lobbies and restaurant feature walls where the scale can be fully appreciated. If you are planning a garden installation, choose a sheltered spot that avoids full exposure to prevailing wind — the 50 kg weight and broad surface area make wind loading a factor on very exposed sites. The large black round wall mirror silhouette pairs confidently with industrial and modern interiors, complementing dark steelwork, exposed brick, or concrete surfaces.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has two keyhole fixings on the back, so you hook it onto two screws already set in your wall. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — use fixings rated for your wall type and the 50 kg load. For a masonry garden wall, heavy-duty shield anchors or through-bolts are a sensible choice; for solid interior walls, coach screws into plugged holes work well. At this size and weight, a two-person lift is essential. We recommend marking your screw positions carefully with a spirit level and measuring tape before drilling — even a couple of millimetres out will be visible on a circle this large.
