This rectangular black wall mirror pairs clean geometric lines with the depth and lustre of layered bevelled glass, creating a piece that feels polished without being fussy. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a modern, frameless aesthetic with real visual weight.
Design & Materials
Rather than a traditional frame, the border is built from multiple strips of bevelled mirror glass separated by bands of black glass. The effect is an elegant triple-bevel profile that catches and refracts light across the room. Each mirrored strip is individually bevelled, so you see crisp angled edges at every layer — a detail that lifts the whole piece above flat, single-pane designs. The central mirror panel is also bevelled, adding consistency and a subtle sense of depth. Behind the glass sits a solid hardwood backing finished with a black felt layer to protect your wall. In our experience, this combination of materials gives the mirror a reassuringly solid feel at 15 kg, while the all-glass front keeps the look sleek and contemporary. The black and silver palette sits comfortably alongside chrome fixtures, grey soft furnishings, and modern monochrome schemes, though it works equally well as a contrast piece in warmer, lighter rooms.
Size & Placement
Measuring 120 cm tall by 80 cm wide and just 2 cm deep, this is a large modern wall mirror that makes a genuine impact without overwhelming a space. At that height, it sits beautifully above a sideboard or console table in a dining room or hallway — the lifestyle image shows exactly this kind of arrangement. Hung in landscape orientation, it becomes a striking overmantle piece or a focal point above a bed. Because it has a flat bottom edge, you could also lean it against a wall on a deep shelf or mantelpiece for a more relaxed, layered look. We often suggest this for open-plan living and dining areas where a single large black wall mirror can visually extend the space and bounce natural light from nearby windows.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror comes fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape. Simply position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 15 kg, we recommend two people for lifting and positioning. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type: standard rawl plugs and screws for solid masonry, or specialist plasterboard fixings for stud walls.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
