This modern frameless rectangular mirror pairs clean lines with a layered bevelled border that adds depth and sparkle without the need for a traditional frame. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for understated modern elegance.
Design & Materials
Rather than a conventional frame, the border is constructed from bevelled mirror panels set at two stepped levels, creating a tiered, three-dimensional effect around the central glass. Each panel is precision-cut with clean bevelled edges, so the border refracts light in subtle bands — an effect that shifts gently as you move past. The backing is solid hardwood finished with a black felt layer, keeping the rear tidy against the wall and protecting the surface from scratches. In our experience, this all-mirror construction sits comfortably alongside both art deco interiors and pared-back modern schemes, lending itself to rooms where you want light and openness without ornate detailing.
Size & Placement
At 100 cm tall and 70 cm wide, this rectangular frameless wall mirror occupies a generous footprint without overwhelming its surroundings. Hung in portrait above a hallway console, it gives you a practical head-and-shoulders reflection while bouncing light into what is often the narrowest part of the home. Flip it to landscape and it works beautifully as an overmantle piece or above a dining sideboard, stretching the visual width of the wall behind. Because the overall depth is just 2 cm, it sits almost flush — an important detail if the mirror is going in a corridor or landing where clearance matters. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a wall on a shelf or mantelpiece for a relaxed, unfixed look.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line up your wall screws with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain, as this style is designed to sit flat against the wall. At 10 kg it is manageable for one person, though a second pair of hands makes levelling easier. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to your wall type — heavier-duty anchors for plasterboard, standard plugs and screws for solid masonry.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
