Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This scalloped mirror full length pairs a bold decorative silhouette with the durability of a steel frame, making it equally at home mounted on a garden fence or a bedroom wall. A steady performer in our full length mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something more sculptural than a standard rectangle.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel and finished in a deep, semi-gloss black that catches the light without feeling overly shiny. Its profile is slim — roughly 2.5 cm wide — with a gently stepped, moulded edge that adds subtle depth when viewed up close. The defining feature is the scalloped contour: three flowing curves at the top form a Moorish-inspired arch, mirrored by three matching curves at the base, creating a symmetrical silhouette you won’t find on a standard arch mirror. The glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, letting the frame shape do all the talking. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, and the whole piece is rated for indoor and outdoor placement, so it will handle a sheltered garden wall or patio just as well as a hallway.
Size & Placement
At 150 cm tall and 52 cm wide, this full-length black wall mirror is tall enough for a head-to-knee check yet narrow enough to slot into spaces where a wider leaner would overwhelm — think the strip of wall between a bedroom window and a wardrobe, or a slim hallway. We often suggest this for garden settings too: mounted on painted timber cladding or a rendered wall, the scalloped outline draws the eye and reflects greenery beautifully, creating the illusion of an ornamental window. Indoors, the black steel frame pairs naturally with modern and industrial schemes, but it also works surprisingly well against softer tones — blush, cream, or sage — where the dark outline provides clean contrast. At just 2 cm deep, it sits close to the wall with a low-profile finish that suits narrow corridors.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror is designed for portrait-only wall hanging and comes fitted with two keyhole fixings on the back. Simply drive two screws into the wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror over them — no wire, string, or chain should be used. At 10 kg, it is manageable for one person to lift, but having a second pair of hands to hold it in place while you mark the screw positions is always easier. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type: standard wall plugs for masonry, or suitable plasterboard anchors for stud walls. For outdoor mounting, stainless-steel screws will resist corrosion and keep the mirror securely in place season after season.
