Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This large black metal wall mirror pairs a modern arch silhouette with a robust steel frame, making it one of those rare pieces that looks just as considered on a patio wall as it does above a console table. Customers tell us it works particularly well mounted on a garden gate or fence, where it catches greenery and sky to open up a smaller outdoor space.
Design & Materials
The frame is pressed steel with a smooth matte black powder-coat finish — uniform in colour, with a fine-grained texture you can see in the close-up images. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the profile is deliberately understated: just enough presence to define the arch without competing with its surroundings. The glass is clear and un-bevelled, set within the frame for a flush, contemporary face. A plastic sheet backing board seals the rear, adding a layer of protection against moisture — an important detail given this mirror is rated for outdoor use as well as indoor.
Size & Placement
Measuring 140 cm high × 70 cm wide × 3.3 cm deep and weighing 12 kg, this is a large arch mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a wall. Indoors, we often suggest this for a hallway or landing where the height draws the eye upward and the reflected light makes a narrow space feel more generous. It sits comfortably above a slim console or bench and pairs well with other modern or industrial-styled pieces — think black metal shelving, raw wood, or muted plaster walls. Outdoors, position it on a south- or west-facing wall to catch the most light across your planting; the arch shape mirrors the form of a garden gate or pathway entrance, creating a pleasing sense of depth. Because the base is flat, you also have the option of leaning it against a wall at floor level — a relaxed, contemporary look that suits a bedroom or dressing area.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes with two keyhole fixings on the back — one on each side — so you simply hook it onto a pair of screws driven into your wall. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings rated for your wall type (solid masonry, brick, or plasterboard with appropriate anchors). At 12 kg, this is a manageable weight for one person to lift, but we recommend a second pair of hands to hold the mirror level while you mark the screw positions. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror.

Before purchasing a mirror, I researched many online companies. Having found “the mirrorman”
website I quickly found the ideal outdoor mirror to cover the back of my garden gate. The site was
easy to navigate and contained a very large selection of mirrors for all occasions.
Having identified a suitable mirror, I was concerned about the position of the fittings so rang the
company on a couple of occasions and found Darren to be the most helpful, polite and
enthusiastic person, totally focussed on customer service.
The payment section was simple and I was quickly provided with delivery details. The mirror was
delivered on time after I had received a text message providing their delivery window. The mirror
was well protected during transport and the description was identical to the website. The mirror is
well made, sturdy and of high quality.
I am delighted with the way that the mirror transformed a standard garden gate into a bright
reflected centrepiece.
The mirrorman is certainly a Company I will use again as I have been impressed by the care,
knowledge and helpfulness of their staff..
