Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This gold mirror arch pairs a clean, modern silhouette with a warm satin-finished frame that works just as confidently mounted on a garden wall as it does above a console table inside. A recent addition to our Somerton Collection range, it was chosen for its pared-back profile — a shape we reach for when customers want architectural interest without ornate detail.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a satin gold finish — a smooth, lightly lustrous tone that sits between brushed and polished. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the frame is deliberately slender, letting the mirror glass do most of the talking while still providing a defined, warm-gold border. The profile is flat and contemporary, free of moulding or decorative embellishment.
Behind the glass, a plastic sheet backing board seals the unit, helping to protect it from moisture when used outdoors. The glass itself is clear and un-bevelled, giving a crisp, undistorted reflection. Viewed from the side, the frame has a subtle stepped detail that adds a little depth without breaking the minimalist lines. It is a gold metal arch wall mirror that suits both modern and transitional interiors with equal ease.
Size & Placement
Measuring 100 cm high by 70 cm wide and just 3.3 cm deep, this is a mid-sized mirror with genuine presence. At that height, it sits comfortably above a mantelpiece, sideboard, or hallway console without dominating the wall around it. In a garden setting, we often suggest mounting it on a brick or rendered wall where it can catch sky and foliage — the satin gold frame warms beautifully against natural stone or aged brickwork.
Because the base is flat, you could also lean it on a shelf or mantel for a relaxed, layered look indoors. At 10 kg, it is sturdy enough to feel substantial yet manageable for repositioning. The modern gold wall mirror aesthetic pairs well with sage greens, deep teals, and neutral tones — the kind of palette you see in the lifestyle images. If you are considering outdoor metal garden wall art alternatives but want the light-reflecting quality of glass, this strikes that balance neatly.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes with two keyhole fixings already fitted to the back, so installation is straightforward: drive two screws into your wall at the correct spacing and hook the mirror onto them. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included — use fixings appropriate for your wall type. For masonry or brick (common with outdoor mounting), standard rawl plugs and coach screws will do the job well. For plasterboard indoors, use specialist plasterboard fixings rated for at least 10 kg.
We recommend a two-person hang simply for ease of alignment — at 100 cm tall, holding the mirror level while marking screw positions is much easier with an extra pair of hands.
