Built for the garden, loved indoors too
This black full length arch mirror pairs a clean capsule silhouette with a slim steel frame finished in matte black, creating a piece that feels contemporary without trying too hard. A steady performer in our Full Length Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a versatile indoor-outdoor option.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth matte-black powder-coat finish, giving it the durability needed for outdoor exposure as well as a refined look that works indoors. At roughly 2.5 cm wide, the frame sits close to the wall and lets the mirror glass do the talking — no ornate mouldings, no fuss. The capsule shape (sometimes called a stadium or pill shape) features matching semicircular arches at the top and bottom, softening the profile compared to a standard rectangle. Clear, unbevelled glass provides a crisp, distortion-free reflection, and a plastic sheet backing board protects the rear. In our experience, this kind of understated black metal frame pairs effortlessly with both industrial-leaning interiors and softer, modern schemes.
Size & Placement
At 180 cm tall and 60 cm wide, this is a genuine full length mirror — tall enough for a head-to-toe view yet narrow enough to slot beside a front door, along a landing, or between windows. The 2 cm depth keeps it neat against the wall. Outdoors, it excels mounted on a fence panel or garden wall where it can bounce greenery and sky back into a courtyard or patio; the first image shows exactly this effect against painted timber cladding. Indoors, consider placing it in a bedroom, hallway, or dressing area. A large full length mirror in a black frame like this anchors a wall without overwhelming it, and the arch shape introduces a curve that contrasts nicely with straight-edged furniture. Customers tend to pair this with dark-toned console tables or minimal floating shelves for a streamlined modern look.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror hangs in portrait orientation using two keyhole fixings already fitted to the back — simply hook them over two screws in the wall. At 20 kg, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it, and you should use fixings appropriate to your wall type (plasterboard anchors for stud walls, rawl plugs and screws for masonry). Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. If you are mounting it outdoors, ensure the screws and plugs you choose are rated for exterior use to prevent corrosion over time.
