Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This gothic arch garden mirror brings a touch of ecclesiastical elegance to any setting. Part of our Arscott Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our garden and interior customers, it pairs a warm gold metal frame with pointed windowpane detailing inspired by Gothic tracery — the kind of piece that draws the eye and opens up a space in one move.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel with a smooth, satin-finish gold coating that catches the light without glaring. Three tall lancet-style arched panes sit above a row of smaller rectangular panes, creating a convincing window silhouette. Up close, the metalwork is clean and well-defined — each mullion is approximately 2.5 cm wide with a gently rounded profile. The mirror glass is clear and unembellished, giving a bright, true reflection that works hard in a garden setting to bounce greenery and sky back into the space. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, helping shield it from moisture when displayed outdoors. In our experience, this style of gold arch wall mirror sits just as comfortably against painted brick or rendered garden walls as it does on plaster indoors.
Size & Placement
At 83 cm tall and 48 cm wide, this is a compact yet impactful piece. Outdoors, it works beautifully mounted on a garden wall between planters or above a low border — the arch shape draws the eye upward while the reflective surface creates an illusion of depth, making even a modest courtyard feel more expansive. Because it has a flat bottom edge, you could also lean it against a wall at ground level among pots and foliage for a relaxed, layered look. Indoors, the proportions suit a hallway, above a console table, or as an accent in a living room or bedroom. It pairs naturally with other metal garden wall art and warm-toned décor, and the gothic detailing complements both rustic interiors and more contemporary schemes that benefit from a single statement piece.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror has one keyhole fixing on the top rail at the back, designed for portrait hanging — simply hook it over a screw in the wall. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type: standard rawl plugs and screws for masonry or brick, or suitable plasterboard fixings for stud walls. At 7.5 kg it is light enough for one person to lift into position, though having a second pair of hands to check alignment is always helpful. If you are mounting it outdoors, a stainless-steel or brass screw will resist corrosion better over time.
