A sunburst statement for modern interiors
This art deco round wall mirror is a genuine scene-stealer — a 91 cm round sunburst design built entirely from bevelled mirror glass, with no visible frame to interrupt the effect. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up, it is chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a bold decorative centrepiece that doubles as functional glass. The radiating rays catch ambient light from every angle, filling a room with movement and sparkle.
Design & Materials
The construction is all about the interplay of glass and light. Dozens of individually cut, bevelled mirror strips radiate outward from a flat central mirror plate, each angled slightly to create a three-dimensional sunburst pattern. Because every ray is bevelled, the edges refract light into subtle rainbow prisms — an effect that shifts as you walk past. The backing is solid hardwood with a plastic veneer finish, keeping the overall weight at a manageable 10 kg while providing rigid support for the glass elements. At 3.5 cm deep, the frame has real sculptural presence on the wall. With its all-mirror, frameless aesthetic, this piece sits comfortably alongside art deco round mirrors, geometric designs, and modern mirror wall art — yet it has enough personality to anchor a more traditional scheme too.
Size & Placement
At 91 cm in diameter, this round wall art piece is sized to command attention without overwhelming a standard room. In our experience, a mirror of this scale works particularly well above a console table in a hallway or centred over a mantelpiece in a living room — the circular shape contrasts nicely with the straight lines of furniture beneath it. It also makes a striking decorative wall mirror in a dining room, positioned so candlelight or a pendant fixture can play across the bevelled rays. Because the design is perfectly symmetrical, placement is forgiving; it reads well whether flanked by sconces, hung alone on a feature wall, or positioned between windows to bounce natural light deeper into the space. For rooms that need a lift without adding colour, this all-mirror finish keeps things bright and tonally neutral.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives fitted with four D-loop fixings on the back, positioned for portrait hanging. Line up your wall screws with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 10 kg, it is comfortable for two people to lift into position. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate to your wall type: standard rawl plugs and screws for solid masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors if you are fixing into a stud wall. We recommend checking for pipes and cables with a detector before drilling.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
