This large round art deco mirror is a bold, light-catching centrepiece built around a generous circular glass framed by dozens of individually bevelled mirror strips. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for a piece that works as both mirror and decorative wall art.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from mirrored glass strips mounted on a sturdy hardwood and plastic-veneer backing. Each strip is bevelled along its edges, creating a faceted, three-dimensional sunburst effect that fractures and redirects light across the room. The strips vary in width and are arranged at alternating depths, giving the border a rhythmic, almost kinetic energy rather than a flat, uniform look. Because every surface is mirrored, the piece carries no dominant colour — it simply reflects whatever surrounds it, making it effortlessly neutral. In our experience, this all-mirror construction suits both cool-toned contemporary schemes and warmer, metallic-accented interiors equally well.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm in diameter, this is a large decorative round wall mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a room. It sits comfortably above a standard mantelpiece or sideboard, with enough visual weight to anchor an entire feature wall. Position it opposite a window and the bevelled strips will scatter natural light beautifully — an effective way to brighten a north-facing living room or a dim hallway. The art deco round wall mirror aesthetic also pairs well with geometric soft furnishings and polished chrome or brass hardware, tying neatly into modern and mid-century schemes. For open-plan spaces or dining areas, hanging it centrally can visually expand the room while acting as a striking piece of large wall art.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror weighs 15 kg, so we recommend a two-person lift when positioning it on the wall. It comes fitted with four D-loops on the back, arranged so you can hang it securely in portrait orientation. Simply position your wall screws to align with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings rated for your wall type (solid masonry, plasterboard with appropriate anchors, etc.). For plasterboard walls in particular, dedicated heavy-duty fixings are essential at this weight.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
