Built for the garden, equally at home indoors
This extra large gold wall mirror makes an immediate impression wherever you place it. Drawn from our Nynehead Collection range, a line we return to often when customers ask for bold, architectural pieces — it combines generous proportions with a restrained window-pane design that lets the reflections do the talking.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed from steel finished in a warm gold tone with a subtle brushed lustre that catches the light without appearing brassy. Fifteen individual mirror panels sit within the grid, separated by slim 2.5 cm bars that echo the glazing bars of a traditional sash window. The result is a large gold rectangular wall mirror with genuine industrial character — clean lines, no ornament, and a flat profile just 3.5 cm deep. A plastic sheet backing board protects the rear, and the glass is clear and unbevelled for crisp, undistorted reflections. Because the frame and fixings are rated for outdoor use, you can confidently mount it in a garden or courtyard where it will bounce light and greenery back into the space.
Size & Placement
At 200 cm tall and 120 cm wide, this is a genuinely large rectangular gold mirror — scaled to anchor a feature wall rather than simply accent one. In a living room or hallway, we recommend hanging it in portrait orientation above a console table or sideboard; the proportions create an illusion of height that lifts lower ceilings. Rotated to landscape, it works beautifully as an extra large modern wall mirror above a sofa or dining bench, spanning most standard furniture widths with room to spare. The flat bottom edge means it can also lean against a wall as a full-length leaner mirror — ideal if you prefer a relaxed, gallery-style look without drilling. Outdoors, position it on a sheltered garden wall to reflect planting and sky, creating the impression of a second window. In our experience, gold-framed garden mirrors pair especially well with warm-toned brick, timber fencing, and lush green foliage.
Hanging & Installation
Four keyhole fixings are pre-fitted to the back, allowing you to hang the mirror in either portrait or landscape orientation. Position your wall screws to align with the centre of each keyhole, then hook the mirror on. At 20 kg, this is a two-person lift — have someone steady the frame while you guide it onto the fixings. Use heavy-duty wall plugs and screws appropriate for your wall type; for stud-partition walls, fix directly into the timber studs where possible. Do not use string, wire, or chain to hang this mirror. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included.
