This extra large white mirror makes an immediate impression — at over two metres tall and nearly one and a half metres wide, it delivers the kind of generous, light-filled reflection that transforms a room. Part of our Cheriton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our bedroom and living room customers.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from a hardwood and casting-resin composite, finished in a soft distressed white that reveals subtle grey undertones in the carved detailing. Up close, you can see a ribbed fluted pattern running the length of each rail, flanked by a sinuous relief border. Each corner is anchored by a hand-finished fan motif that gives the frame a distinctly classical character. The overall profile is roughly 6 cm wide — substantial enough to read as a large ornate leaner mirror, yet refined enough not to feel heavy-handed. A bevelled edge on the glass catches and disperses light beautifully, adding depth to the reflection. The aesthetic sits comfortably between shabby chic and antique styling, making it an easy match for painted furniture, linen upholstery, and neutral-toned interiors.
Size & Placement
At 201 cm tall, 140 cm wide and 7 cm deep, this is a genuinely extra large rectangular wall mirror — big enough to serve as a full-length dressing mirror or a dramatic focal point above a console, sideboard, or radiator cover. Weighing 25 kg, it has a flat bottom edge so you can lean it securely against a wall at a slight angle; we often suggest this for bedrooms and dressing rooms where it can double as a floor-standing mirror without any drilling. Wall-mounted in landscape orientation above a sofa or bed, it opens the room and bounces daylight across even the deepest spaces. In a hallway, its generous width makes narrow corridors feel significantly wider. If your décor leans towards a white shabby chic wall mirror look or a large wall antique mirror statement, this design bridges both worlds comfortably.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are pre-fitted on the back of the frame, positioned so you can hang the mirror in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line your wall screws up with the centre of each D-loop and hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included; choose fixings suited to your wall type (solid masonry, dot-and-dab, or timber stud). At 25 kg, we recommend a two-person lift for positioning and a spirit level to check alignment before making final fixings.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
