Clean lines, quiet drama
This segment framed rectangular wall mirror pairs a generous reflective surface with a geometrically layered border that draws the eye without competing with the rest of the room. Part of our Lynmouth Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living-room and hallway customers, it brings an art deco wall mirror sensibility to contemporary interiors through precise, linear detailing rather than ornament.
Design & Materials
The frame is built from multiple bevelled mirror strips arranged in parallel lines — three running vertically on each side and three running horizontally across the top and bottom. Where those strips meet at each corner, the horizontal and vertical sections interlock in an architectural step pattern that gives the piece its distinctive character. Every strip carries a crisp bevelled edge, so even in subdued lighting the border picks up subtle highlights and shadow lines that shift as you move around the room.
Behind the glass, a solid hardwood backing provides rigidity, while a black felt layer protects your wall surface and dampens vibration. The central glass panel is also bevelled, adding an extra band of refracted light around the reflection itself. The overall finish is polished and bright — all mirror, with no visible frame colour — making it easy to pair with silver hardware, chrome fittings, or cooler-toned furniture. Customers tend to pair this with neutral palettes and modern wall art for a layered, gallery-style look.
Size & Placement
At 100 cm tall and 70 cm wide, this is a medium-format rectangular mirror — substantial enough to anchor a wall arrangement yet restrained enough to avoid dominating a smaller room. In portrait orientation it sits beautifully above a console table or hallway shelf, with the vertical strips emphasising height. Flip it to landscape and it works as an overmantle or above a long sideboard, where the horizontal lines echo the furniture below. In our experience, this size reads particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms, and entrance halls where you want a decorative wall art focal point without committing to an oversized piece. The flat bottom edge also means it can lean safely against a wall on a deep shelf or mantelpiece if wall-fixing is not an option.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives fitted with four D-loop brackets on the hardwood back, positioned to support both portrait and landscape hanging. Simply drive your wall screws to align with the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly — no wire, string, or chain is needed or recommended. At 10 kg, this is a manageable weight for one person to lift into position, though a second pair of hands makes levelling much easier. Use fixings appropriate to your wall type: rawl plugs and screws for masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors for stud walls. Wall screws and plugs are not included.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
