This large decorative rectangular wall mirror makes a confident statement wherever you place it. Part of our Lynmouth Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and hallway customers, it combines generous proportions with an art deco-inspired bevelled frame that feels refined without being fussy.
Design & Materials
The frame is constructed entirely from mirror glass — three parallel bevelled strips run along each side, stepping outward to create a layered, geometric border. Each strip is precision-cut with clean bevelled edges that catch light and produce subtle prismatic reflections, lending the piece a depth and sparkle that a flat border simply cannot match. Behind the glass sits a solid hardwood backing with a black felt layer to protect your wall surface. In our experience, this all-mirror construction is one of the most versatile decorative choices: it complements virtually any colour scheme because it reflects the palette of the room around it rather than introducing its own. Whether your décor leans towards modern minimalist or classic art deco, this large modern decorative wall mirror will sit comfortably alongside both.
Size & Placement
At 144 cm tall and 116 cm wide, this is a substantial piece — large enough to open up a room and bounce natural light across it, yet proportioned so it won’t overwhelm a standard wall. Hung in portrait above a console table in a hallway, it creates an inviting focal point and the illusion of extra space. Flip it to landscape and it works beautifully as a large rectangular wall art alternative above a sofa or sideboard in a living room or dining area. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean it against a wall at floor level for a relaxed, contemporary look — we often suggest this for bedrooms or dressing areas where you want near-full-length visibility without drilling into the wall. At 20 kg, it has a reassuring solidity that speaks to the quality of the hardwood backing and glass construction.
Hanging & Installation
This mirror arrives fitted with four D-loops on the back, positioned so you can hang it in either portrait or landscape orientation. Line your wall screws up with the corresponding D-loop centres and hang directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings appropriate for your wall type; toggle bolts or heavy-duty anchors are advisable for plasterboard. Given its size and 20 kg weight, we recommend a two-person lift when positioning and hanging.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
