This large modern wall mirror makes a striking yet understated statement wherever you place it. Part of our Puriton Collection range, a collection that sells consistently well with our living room and dining room customers — and it’s easy to see why once the light catches that deep bevelled border.
Design & Materials
The frame is composed entirely of angled mirror panels, each finished with a crisp bevel that refracts light along the edges. There is no timber or metal frame visible from the front — just continuous, reflective glass that creates a layered, three-dimensional effect. Behind the surface sits a solid hardwood backing board lined with a black felt layer, which protects your wall and adds rigidity to the structure. The result is a modern rectangular mirror with a polished, seamless look that pairs effortlessly with minimalist, contemporary, or plain décor schemes. In our experience, this all-mirror style also works particularly well alongside high-gloss or lacquered furniture where you want every surface to play with light.
Size & Placement
At 137 cm tall and 108 cm wide, this is a generous piece — large enough to anchor a wall above a sideboard or console table without overwhelming the surrounding space. It sits comfortably over a standard dining table, and in the lifestyle image you can see how the proportions complement a modern dining setting. Because it can hang in either portrait or landscape orientation, you have flexibility: landscape above a sofa or mantelpiece, portrait in a hallway or dressing area where extra height opens up the room. The flat bottom edge also means you can lean this modern large wall mirror against a wall as a floor-standing piece if you prefer a relaxed, editorial look in a bedroom or living room. At 2 cm deep, it holds a slim profile that won’t protrude noticeably from the wall.
Hanging & Installation
Four D-loops are fitted to the back of the hardwood frame — two set for landscape hanging, two for portrait — so you can choose your orientation without additional hardware. Position your wall screws to align with the centre of the corresponding D-loops and hang the mirror directly; do not use string, wire, or chain. At 20 kg, we recommend a two-person lift for safe positioning. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings rated for your wall type — toggle bolts for plasterboard, standard plugs for solid masonry.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
