Sculptural simplicity for modern spaces
This minimalist mirror makes its impact through shape alone. With a smooth, organic outline that shifts between an egg and a pebble depending on orientation, it brings quiet drama to any wall without the need for ornament. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something contemporary yet unfussy.
Design & Materials
The frameless design lets the glass do all the talking. A slim black edge tracing the perimeter gives the piece just enough definition against lighter walls while keeping the overall look pared back and modern. The mirror glass itself is clear and un-bevelled — a flat, uninterrupted surface that maximises light reflection and reads as a large modern wall mirror rather than a decorative accent. Behind the glass, a hardwood backing with a plastic veneer finish adds rigidity while keeping the total depth to just 2 cm, so the piece sits almost flush to the wall. The result is a clean, gallery-like aesthetic that pairs naturally with contemporary and mid-century modern interiors alike.
Size & Placement
At 120 cm tall and 80 cm wide, this is a genuinely large frameless wall mirror — sizeable enough to anchor a feature wall yet narrow enough to work in a hallway or above a console table without overwhelming the space. In portrait orientation, the tapered upper curve draws the eye upward, making ceilings feel taller; we often suggest this arrangement above a sideboard or between two sconces. Rotate it to landscape and the silhouette widens into a softer, more relaxed shape — ideal as a plain wall mirror above a sofa or bed headboard. Because it weighs only 6 kg, it places less stress on the wall than many mirrors of similar proportions, which opens up plasterboard walls as a viable option with the right fixings. Its neutral, all-mirror finish and irregular outline let it sit comfortably alongside both muted Scandinavian palettes and bolder, colour-rich schemes.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror comes fitted with four D-loops on the back — two set for portrait hanging and two for landscape — so you can choose your preferred orientation without additional hardware. Simply position your wall screws to align with the corresponding D-loop centres and hang the mirror directly onto them. Do not use string, wire, or chain; the flush-mount approach keeps the piece tight against the wall for that sleek, modern look. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so select fixings appropriate for your wall type — standard rawl plugs for masonry, or specialist plasterboard anchors for stud walls. At 6 kg, a single person can manage the lift, but having a second pair of hands to check alignment is always worthwhile.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
