Glamour in every angle
This art deco fan wall mirror captures the drama of 1920s design in a form that sits perfectly in a modern home. A steady performer in our Wall Mirrors line-up — chosen repeatedly by customers looking for something sculptural yet refined — it fans seven bevelled glass panels outward from a shared base to create an unmistakable sunburst silhouette.
Design & Materials
The mirror is constructed from seven individual panels of clear, bevelled-edge glass mounted on a hardwood back-board with a plastic-veneer finish in black. Each panel is cut at a progressively wider angle, graduating from slender outer fins to a broad central pane. The bevelling catches light along every edge, producing bright highlights that shift as you move — a hallmark of art deco wall mirrors and a detail that lifts the piece well beyond flat mirror glass. Because the design is entirely frameless, nothing competes with those clean, reflective surfaces; the mirror’s geometry is its only decoration. In our experience, frameless pieces like this pair effortlessly with both contemporary and vintage furnishings, since there is no frame colour to clash with existing décor.
Size & Placement
At 100 cm tall and 100 cm wide, this is a generous wall mirror that commands attention without overwhelming a room. The fan shape means the widest span sits at the top, so it needs roughly a metre of clear wall above your furniture. It works beautifully centred above a console table or dressing table — the flat base sits neatly along the horizontal line of a tabletop, grounding the shape visually. Hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms are all strong candidates; the geometric outline adds depth to a narrow entrance hall, while in a bedroom it doubles as both decorative wall art and a practical looking-glass. Although the base is flat and could lean, we recommend wall-mounting for the securest display at this weight. The modern art deco feel also suits boutique salon waiting areas and hotel lobbies where a statement mirror sets the tone.
Hanging & Installation
The mirror arrives with four D-loops pre-fitted to the hardwood back-board. Position your wall screws to line up with the centre of the corresponding D-loops, then hang the mirror directly — do not use string, wire, or chain. At 15 kg, a two-person lift makes alignment far easier, and we strongly recommend fixings rated for solid masonry or appropriate plasterboard anchors, depending on your wall type. Wall screws and rawl plugs are not included, so choose fixings suited to the surface you are working with.
For a clean, flush-wall finish, we recommend pairing this mirror with our heavy-duty mirror fittings kit — a hook-and-loop back-plate system designed to sit flat against solid frames.
